Cynthia willard, MD, MPH,

Faculty Adviser

Dr. Willard is the faculty leader of the USC-Keck Human Rights Clinic. She completed her medical degree at Stanford University and her family medicine residency at University of California, San Francisco. After receiving her Master’s Degree in public health from the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Willard focused her work on immigrant health issues and human rights.  She founded the Utah Health & Human Rights Project to treat survivors of political torture with the support of the Echoing Green Foundation, and later worked as the Medical Director of Program for Torture Victims in Los Angeles.   She has published research on the health consequences of torture, and worked overseas in Albania, Kosovo, Liberia, and Kenya.
