The Keck Human Rights Clinic is excited to invite you to a training event on conducting forensic evaluations for asylum seekers. The training will include sessions on legal background, physical and psychological forensic evaluations, and affidavit writing. The event is also an opportunity to connect with other human rights-minded health professionals and find out how to get involved with local asylum clinics. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Who is the training for? 

This training is open to physicians, mental health providers (including licensed social workers, MFTs, and clinical psychologists), trainees, and students. PHR asylum network trainings are required for health professionals and students who wish to volunteer with the Keck Human Rights Clinic and for providers who wish to be part of Physicians for Human Rights' Asylum Network. 

How do I get there and where do I park? 

Parking is available in the nearby Biggy Parking Structure (1334 Biggy St, Los Angeles, CA 90089) for $12/day. There is also limited metered street parking. The USC-Health Sciences Campus is serviced by the Silver Line; LA Metro buses 70, 71, 76, 78, 79, 378, 106, 251, 751; and the LADOT DASH Boyle Heights/East LA and Lincoln Heights/Chinatown Routes.
